Polygonia c-album, Comma

the Comma is a species of butterfly belonging to the Nymphalidae family.
Its irregular wing edges are characteristic of the Polygonia genus,
which is why they are commonly called angelwings.

your work is both beautiful and inspiring. I really really want a better camera lol. I would love to learn how to do photos like this.  I have a butterfly bush that isn't that great this year because I didn't know I was supposed to prune it in the early spring. Last year it did so well and it would have so many flowers and butterflies on it that it looked like the butterflies were a part of the bush. All different sizes and colors. So I am hoping next year I have a better camera so if it ever looks that way again I will get decent pics of it. Close up shots of the butterflies. Of course even with a better camera, the pics wont come out like this. I have no clue on how to take pics like this.

Thank you so very much for your compliment

Yes the butterfly bush is a real attraction for the butterflies. I'm so very happy with it.

First thing you have to do is when you make photo's: don't make pictures when the sun shines.

The shadows will almost always be too harsh. The camera doesn't see what your eye sees.

Make pictures on a clouded day, and  keep an eye on the backfround
