Lymantria dispar, this will become a moth in the Erebidae family.
This is the face of a caterpillar. Certainly not the most attractive animal, but I wanted to share this :D
I think it's quite scary ;)

Ik zou het ook niet weten. Maar wat ik er tot nu toe van heb gezien worden de mooiste rupsen meestal (saaie) nachtvlinders en de saaie rupsen prachtige dagvlinders. Dit zal wel niet altijd zo zijn, ik ben ook maar een leek.

Ja, dat vond ik er ook zo leuk aan. Heb een aantal boekjes over vlinders en heb deze gevonden.
Misschien vind je het leuk om te heten wat voor een het is.
Hij valt onder de groep 'donsvlinders' en is een Plakker (Lymantria dispar)
Het wordt een nachtvlinder met allerlei tinten bruin in een bepaald patroon.
Je kunt hem trouwens Googlen op 'afbeeldingen rupsen'. Dan weet je hoe hij
er uit ziet als vlinder.

I allways thought they were one of the view insects that are actually cute. And they were the only ones besides ladybugs I was able to touch without getting a heart attack. Now thanks to you there are only ladybugs left. >~< xD
